Burgundian enjoyment of white gold
Programme:
10:00 am: Reception with a cup of coffee and an asparagus praline at a local catering establishment.
10:30 am: Short stop at Agropolis to watch the asparagus film "From seed to plant". This wonderful film will give you an insight into the growth of this exclusive crop.
11:00 am: Visit to an asparagus farm. Here, the farmer will proudly tell you about his craft; the love of asparagus shines through in his speech, about the harvest of the queen of vegetables or white gold as we proudly call it here. If your mouth is already watering, a delicious tasting will follow.
1:00 pm: Asparagus lunch: asparagus soup, asparagus Kinrooise style and dessert.
2:30 pm: In your own coach to Chocolaterie Bonaparte in Maaseik.
3:00 pm: During a 45-minute demonstration, the chocolatier will tell you about the origin of chocolate, how chocolate is processed, how pralines are made and how pieces are made. After the demonstration, you will be given a bar of delicious chocolate to enjoy afterwards.
4:00 pm: End.
This excursion is only possible during the asparagus season from mid-April to 20 June.
